Barry and Julie Moss

Original Founders

Barry and Julie founded and directed Rochet Kitchens from 1988 to 2024.

In 2024, Barry and Julie decided it was time to retire and deserve some well deserved free time by handing the reins over to Chris. Barry is now tackling the challenge of renovating their holiday home in Paynesville and spending time with their daughters and grandkids.

Fun fact: Barry represented Australia in the Olympics for shooting.

Chris and Chiara Haakman

Directors

Chris started his apprenticeship in 2005 as a young 17 year old at Rochet Kitchens, where he worked his way through the factory, which led to becoming the draftsman in 2015. Since being the draftsman Chris took on more responbilities including running the business when Barry was on holidays, until he had the opportunity after 20 years to purchase the business with his wife Chiara.

Chris and Chiara now run Roche Kitchens where he hopes to one day pass the business on to his sons Nicolaas or Christiaan. As Chloe Moss (Barry’s daughter) says, Rochet is a special place to grow up in.

Chris and Chiara endeavour to grow the business further, continue with the exceptional customer service Barry set, and to also ensure the environment for all staff is positive, supported and enjoyable.
